Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) assists the Director of Nursing in leading the nursing department to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. This role supports daily nursing operations, ensures regulatory compliance, and oversees infection control practices within the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing and leading the nursing department
Organize and direct day-to-day nursing operations in compliance with local and state regulations
Ensure the highest quality of resident-centered care
Plan, organize, and implement training programs and clinical in-services for nursing staff
Support compliance initiatives and maintain effective communication across all levels of nursing staff
Ensure adequate and appropriate staffing to meet resident care needs, including participation in recruitment efforts
Oversee competency evaluations and corrective action plans as needed
Requirements
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey
Five (5) years of progressively responsible nursing experience in a clinical setting (preferred)
Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a long-term care or sub-acute setting (preferred)
PCC certification (preferred)
